Admin Assistant

We are looking to recruit an Admin Assistant to provide vital support to our Operations department.
The postholder will be working closely with the Operations & HR Manager and Assistant Finance Manager to provide a solid foundation for all areas of Cathedral life. This will be an interesting and varied role with opportunities to get involved in a wide range of Cathedral functions.
We are not looking for an expert in any one area, but an all-rounder with excellent organisational skills and the ability to pick things up quickly.
This is a part-time, fixed term contract until 31st December 2024, with the possibility of extending to a full-time post in January.
Hours
Part-time: 22.5 hrs a week. Working hours to be negotiated but will include Monday mornings.
This is a fixed term contract until 31st Dec 2024, with the possibility of extending into a full-time, permanent contract.
Pay
£14,067 per annum (£23,445 FTE) in line with the Real Living Wage.
Working Arrangements
The post will primarily be based in the Gatehouse offices at Bristol Cathedral with some flexibility for home working.
Pension
Membership of the Church Workers Pension Scheme, with a 7% employers contribution and 5% employee contribution. The Scheme includes a death in service cover of twice the annual salary.
Annual Leave
25 days plus bank holidays per year, pro rata for part-time employees. Annual leave increases by one day per year from year six to year ten of employment.
