Group Admission

There is no charge for entry to Bristol Cathedral. Self led groups of 10 people or more are asked to book their visit in advance so we can ensure your welcome. Group admission is £2 per person and admission includes a welcome pack for every member of your group. Private group tours are available with a guide and can be tailored to your interests. Please get in touch to discuss your visit.

Opening Times

The Cathedral’s standard visitor hours are Monday to Saturday: 10.00am-4.00pm and Sunday: 11.30am to 3.00pm. Please be aware that sometimes there will be special services and events taking place in the Cathedral which may mean that our normal opening change, and that we have to close temporarily. These will be discussed on enquiry.

Guided Tours

Guided tours of the Cathedral are available to the public weekly, with tickets bookable in advance. If you would like to organise a private tour with one of our knowledgable guides please contact our visitor experience team. For school visits, please visit our Education page.

Refreshments

Our Cafe is temporarily closed for refurbishment. Due to open in late 2024. You are welcome to bring lunch with you and take a break in our peaceful Cathedral garden.

International Visitors

We have leaflet guides of the Cathedral in a number of different languages. We are able to offer guided tours in a limited number of other languages – please ask on enquiry.

Coaches

There is Coach Parking on Anchor Road (access to the Cathedral in 5 minute walk via steep slope or steps) and a Coach drop-off point outside the Marriott Royal, College Green (fully accessible to the Cathedral in 2 minute walk). For full details on parking and directions please click here.
