Our team of dedicated clergy and lay staff work hard behind the scenes to keep the Cathedral’s busy schedule of services, events and activities running, to maintain and take care of the building and to create a welcoming environment for all our visitors. Meet The Team

Adam Bullivant
Verger
The Vergers are responsible for the day to day maintenance and management of the Cathedral. They also perform a role in worship and special events.

Ben Silvey
Chief Operating Officer (Chapter Clerk)
Ben is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Cathedral. His responsibilities include finance, fabric, events, HR, health and safety and child protection.

Cheryl Oxley
Executive Assistant to the Dean & COO
Cheryl provides executive support to the Dean and COO, coordinates governance processes, and helps plan key events. She works at the heart of Cathedral life, ensuring smooth operations and welcoming engagement with the wider community.

Chrissie Graham
Finance Manager
Chrissie provides support to the Cathedral’s finance department, and leads on the administration of the Cathedral’s safeguarding policies, acting as deputy safeguarding lead.

Christopher Jones
Clerk of Works
Christopher ensures that the Bristol Cathedral estate is well maintained and fit for purpose. He project manages our major building works, including the organ restoration.

Ellie Waring
Marketing Executive
Ellie is responsible for helping us communicate our story to a wide audience, through our social media, website, newsletters and printed publications. She also supports our Comms and PR work.

Frances Rosewell
Visitor Experience Director
Frances has responsibility for the ways in which visitors interact with the Cathedral, including accessing worship, exhibits and displays. She offers insight into the Cathedral’s vision and mission, and works closely with volunteers and colleagues.

Jess Cainey
Visitor Experience Manager
Jess helps to deliver an exceptional visitor welcome to everyone who visits. She manages the front of house team, and also plans events, from film nights and concerts to talks and workshops.

Lisa Wilkey
Cleaner
Lisa works hard behind the scenes to make sure the Cathedral, The Lord Mayor’s Chapel and the offices are clean and welcoming.
