Residentiary Canon for Worship and Mission (Precentor)
Bristol Cathedral is seeking a Residentiary Canon for Worship and Mission (Precentor) to help shape the future of worship, music and mission at the Cathedral.
As a member of Chapter and the Senior Executive Team, the successful candidate will play a key role in the leadership of the Cathedral, while providing oversight of music and liturgy, pastoral care for choristers and their families, and leadership of relationships with Bristol Cathedral Choir School and Cathedral Primary School.
This role comes at an important moment in the life of the Cathedral, as we seek to build on a strong musical tradition and develop new opportunities for outreach, discipleship and community engagement through worship and music.
Situated on College Green in the heart of Bristol, Bristol Cathedral has been a place of Christian worship and welcome for almost 900 years. Through worship, music, education and community engagement, the Cathedral serves the city, Diocese and wider region.
