Executive Assistant to the Dean and COO

Bristol Cathedral is looking for an organised “people person” with an eye for detail and process, who can support the Dean and the Chief Operating Officer in their day to day responsibilities.
As well as providing executive support, the Executive Assistant will also support the governance processes in the Cathedral. It is a job with lots of variety. One day you might be working with the Dean on the planning of a major civic event, the next you might be supporting a meeting of the Cathedral Chapter (our trustees). You will be part of a friendly team, based in the historic Cathedral offices, working together to ensure that the Cathedral is accessible to people from across the city and diocese.
Hours
Four days per week (30hrs) to include Mondays. This role will require some evening and weekend work.
Pay
£26,040 per annum (£32,550 FTE) in line with the Real Living Wage.
Working Arrangements
The post will primarily be based in the Gatehouse offices at Bristol Cathedral with some flexibility for home working.
Pension
Membership of the Church Workers Pension Scheme, with a 7% employers contribution and 5% employee contribution.
Annual Leave
25 days plus bank holidays per year, pro rata for part-time employees. Annual leave increases by one day per year from year six to year ten of employment. It is also the practice of the Cathedral to offer staff the three days between Christmas and New Year as additional discretionary leave.
