The Big Jubilee Lunch

Join us for food, fun and festivities!

Bristol Cathedral and partners are delighted to be hosting a Big Jubilee Lunch on College Green on Sunday 5 June to celebrate HM The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Programme for the day

The day begins at 10:30am with the Cathedral Eucharist on the Green. There will be plenty of stalls from local charities with activities and crafts for all the family to enjoy, as well as a dedicated youth area and classic fairground games. All stalls will be open from 10:30am-5:30pm.

Here's a taste of some of the activites on offer:

  • Build a royal paper flotilla with Bristol Cathedral
  • Make a crown with Bristol Libraries
  • Plant your own vegetables with DiabetesUK
  • Build your own musical instrument with St George's Bristol
  • Try your hand at writing with a quill pen with the New Room
  • Traditional fairground and lawn games and much more

Practical Points

  • Bring a picnic and something to sit on
  • Be prepared for the weather
  • Travel by foot, bicycle or public transport where possible to reduce congestion and pollution
  • Please do not attend if you are feeling unwell, particularly with any symptoms of COVID-19
  • Toilets (including accessible toilets) will be available in the Cathedral and in City Hall. Step-free access is around the right hand side of the Cathedral from College Green.

We'll be raising money on the day for Heart of BS13 . We are all too aware of the rise in the cost of living and the impact this is having on people in our city. Heart of BS13 tackle food poverty, as well as offering mental health support and social enterprise opportunities through a variety of initiatives.
