The first phase in improvements to the Café’s decoration have been unveiled. New furniture has been supplied by Robert Mills Architectural Antiques, reflecting the Cathedral's ecclesiastical purpose and heritage. The pews have been rescued from nearby church St Michael on the Mount without and the table tops are recycled scaffold boards. We are working with local designers, producers and manufacturers on all the elements of our revamp.
"We hope that you like the alterations that we’ve made so far - please do bear with us as we continue with our changes." Wendy Matthews, Chapter Clerk
You can find the café at the end of the Cloister, past the Chapter House. It offers teas, coffees and soft drinks, and a menu of light meals and snacks, together with home made scones, pastries and cakes. We have a beautiful, award winning garden, with a courtyard eating area that you can enjoy in fine weather.
The main Cathedral is closed for general visitors from the 16-20 and 23-26 July. Daily services are held in the Subcroft. Cafe, shop and garden remain open.
Monday to Saturday, 10.00 am - 3.00pm.
