Lunchtime Recital: Iryna Ilnytska & John Draisey

Join us for a captivating lunchtime recital featuring Ukrainian mezzo-soprano Iryna Ilnytska. With a rich background in opera and a powerful stage presence, Iryna brings both technical excellence and deep emotion to her performances. She began her journey in music at the age of eight, eventually winning her first opera competition at just twelve years old in Luhansk, Ukraine. Her career has since flourished, taking her to renowned venues across Europe.

Iryna has performed with prestigious opera companies in the UK, taking on roles in operas by Mozart, Gluck, and Handel. She has collaborated extensively with the Stella Maris Trio, delivering themed recitals on everything from “Queens in Baroque Opera” to “Tragic & Comic Musical Moments.” Her recent work includes directing projects for Exeter Operatic Group and singing in charity concerts to support Ukraine.
