The second half of three-hour devotion on Good Friday, from noon to 3 pm (the hours Jesus was on the cross), during which there will be the opportunity to meditate on the meaning of the Crucifixion and commemorate Our Lord’s death with addresses, music and periods of silence.
You are very welcome to stay for all or part of the service.
Bishop Paul Bayes, former Bishop of Liverpool, will reflect on the theme of “Wood Work.” Considering the role of wood in the story of Christ—from the manger to the cross—he will explore its significance in the Passion narrative and what it reveals about sacrifice, redemption, and faith.
