Creative Fun for Families at Bristol Cathedral
Crafty Cathedral offers a free, hands-on craft activities for children and families at Bristol Cathedral. These engaging sessions, aimed primarily at children aged 3–11 (but open to all ages), provide a wonderful opportunity to explore creativity, storytelling, and faith in a peaceful environment.
Held in the Cathedral Nave, each session changes with the seasons and introduces a variety of craft activities such as drawing, painting, and other seasonal projects. Crafty Cathedral encourages mindfulness and learning in a relaxed, welcoming space.
Whether you’re seeking a fun family activity during the summer holidays or an opportunity to explore arts and crafts in a spiritual setting, Crafty Cathedral is the perfect way to spend your morning.

A Day Out for Families at Bristol Cathedral
Bristol Cathedral is a fantastic destination for families, offering a mix of fun, learning, and exploration for children of all ages. Kids can follow themed trails that bring the Cathedral to life—inviting them to explore its spaces through creative activities, music, and creation-based themes.
Visit our newly refurbished café, run in collaboration with Pinkmans and located at the end of the cloister beside the garden. Enjoy light lunches, single-origin coffee, cakes, and Pinkmans’ famous sourdoughnuts, with plenty of options for children.
The Garden is ideal for little adventurers, with winding paths, colourful flowers, and plenty of bugs and birds to spot. The courtyard next to the café is a lovely place to relax while the children enjoy the outdoors.

Accessibility at Bristol Cathedral
Bristol Cathedral is committed to welcoming all visitors. Level access to the Café, Chapter House, garden, and parts of the Cloister is available via the Cloister Entrance.
There is no level access from the Nave, so visitors unable to navigate steps can use the outside of the building to access these areas.
