A Manifesto for Hope – How does a City nurture its young people?

  • Fri March 1 @ 18:30 - 20:00
  • Bristol Cathedral  - College Green, Bristol

In light of the recent violence against young people in our city, Bristol Cathedral is hosting a thought-provoking discussion on nurturing and safeguarding our children and young people.

Author, Steve Chalke MBE, founder of Oasis, will share insights from his powerful book, ‘A Manifesto for Hope’.

Following his talk, we will open a panel discussion will be hosted by Neil Maggs, a Bristol based journalist and documentary maker. Attendees will have the chance to listen to the voices of the Bristol community, including local youth workers, campaigners against violence, and community leaders. Prominent local figures from various positions of power, including local politicians, councillors, and law enforcement, will be invited to observe the discussion, with an opportunity to respond afterwards.

The primary objective of this event is to advocate for stronger partnerships between local communities, voluntary organisations, and governmental bodies. The event aims to convey a resounding message that communities and long-term investment in children and young people are the key to tackling this crisis.
