“The Cathedral is big and amazing!” – Year 6 pupil

We offer a range of engaging school visits that support and enhance curriculum learning. From guided tours to gargoyle making, each experience is hands-on and can be tailored for groups from early years to sixth form.

Visits are bespoke so whether you want to visit just for an hour or for a whole day out, we can help arrange a visit that suits you.

Booking is essential for all education visits. Even if you do not need support from our education team, there may be times where some or all of the Cathedral is closed.

Find out more about education visits to the Cathedral and other learning activities available by submitting your enquiry below.

School Visits

We are able to accommodate a range of engaging experiences for your school visit at Bristol Cathedral.

Whether local history, religious studies, or x in mind…..we can tailor your visit to your needs and the national curriculum.

We recommend visits of up to 60 children but can discuss additional numbers. Visits are costed on a per child basis and vary on the activities chosen.  The Cathedral has facilities to have lunch during the visit.

Booking is essential whether you’re coming for a workshop, self-guided visit or a fun activity day.  Please make an online enquiry and we will get back to you.

The nearest coach drop off point is on Deanery Road, outside the central library.

All of our staff and Education volunteers are DBS checked and have completed safeguarding training.

Education Volunteers

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers who enjoy working with young people and want to make a difference.

Bristol Cathedral has a range of opportunities for volunteering with young people; from running workshops or guided tours, helping with our Sunday School, making resources and supporting our school visits.
