About the Artists:

Pete Judge

“Pete Judge is a Bristol music phenomenon” (Late Junction, BBC Radio 3) Pete is a Bristol-based musician/composer. He is the trumpeter with BBC Jazz Award winners Get The Blessing, ambient-jazz-minimalist duo Eyebrow, and acoustic duo JOW, and multi-instrumentalist with chamber-folk trio Three Cane Whale, and has also released three albums of solo piano music. This is a very rare chance to see him perform completely solo, as he attempts to summon a delicate ambient orchestra from the acoustic vasts of Bristol Cathedral using only a trumpet and a cluster of effects pedals.

Bethany Ley

“Bethany’s voice emerges like a natural denizen. In harmony with the instruments rather than dictating and working through them.” The Psychic Garden Bethany Ley (fka. STANLÆY) is an independent multi-instrumentalist based in Bristol, known for her versatility as a producer, composer and vocalist. Their sonic world circulates intricate arrangements informed by Bethany’s eclectic musical background as both a classical instrumentalist, and an avid producer. The combination of virtuoso arrangements and intriguing granular sound design comes together to create an otherworldly and hypnotic sonic landscape, one which is both ethereal and intimate.

t l k

t l k is a Bristol-based artist, vocalist and producer. Fluid in form, with a leaning towards cinematic ambient, downtempo electronic, skewed pop, neo-classical and musique concrète sensibilities, their works evolve from memory, dialogue, dreams and ongoing explorations into loss, selfhood, human behaviour and its coalescence and tensions with the non-human. Centring the voice-as-instrument, t l k’s practice holds a deep commitment to the act of noticing.
