Escape to the heart of France for an enriching week-long retreat for 15 – 29 year olds, where you’ll forge lasting friendships and make unforgettable memories amidst the serene setting of Taizé, a renowned monastic community. All travel, food, and camping costs are covered in the price, ensuring a hassle-free experience for all participants.

Throughout the retreat, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with people from all corners of the world, engaging in meaningful conversations and reflective activities designed to deepen your understanding of yourself and others.

In addition to fostering personal growth and community, the retreat provides a nurturing environment for spiritual exploration within the context of a monastic community. Experience the  simplicity and tranquility of Taizé worship, its serene atmosphere and soul-stirring songs. Daily prayer sessions, bible studies, and thought-provoking discussions will be at the heart of our activities, offering participants ample opportunities to nourish their spiritual journey.

Additional Details:

 

Price: Approximately £270 for 15 – 17 year olds and £300 for 18 – 29 year olds.

For those over 18, there’s an option to upgrade to a dormitory room for an additional £70.

Schedule Overview: Each day will include a mix of structured activities such as morning prayers, group discussions, and free time for personal reflection. A schedule is provided in this Information booklet.

Accommodation Details: Accommodation options include camping facilities and dormitory rooms. Bringing your own camping gear is recommended and facilities are available onsite for all guests.

Travel Logistics: Participants will gather at the Cathedral for group travel arrangements to Taizé. Please ensure you have all necessary travel documents, including passports and any required visas, prior to departure.

Packing List: We recommend bringing comfortable and modest clothing suitable for both indoor and outdoor activities, toiletries, a refillable water bottle, and any personal items for spiritual reflection (e.g., journals, prayer books).

Participant Expectations: We ask all participants to respect the beliefs and backgrounds of others, participate actively in group activities, and adhere to any guidelines set forth by the retreat organisers to ensure a harmonious and inclusive experience for all.
