Lunchtime Recital - Amy Reynolds, piano

Add a little music to your lunchtime with our weekly recital series, showcasing classical music from around the world.

Amy is an aspiring musician from Bristol, UK.

Her musical journey began at age six when she started learning the violin. However, it wasn’t until she was 12 that she began having piano lessons and 15 that she took up learning the organ. Taking up the piano at relatively late age hasn’t stopped her from wanting to become a professional pianist!

Since taking piano to the next level she has discovered so many wonderful opportunities, such as being a member of Bristol Pre-Conservatoire, an orchestral pianist with the Brunel Symphony Orchestra, and many solo and ensemble performance opportunities in places such as Bristol Cathedral, St George’s, Colston Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall and St David’s Hall Cardiff.

Her teachers have included Allan Schiller, Melanie Spanswick, James Kirby and her current teacher Alison Bowring.

I took my ATCL diploma in piano performance in September 2016, and has been a student at the Royal College of Music and Drama since September 2017.

Admission is free and all are welcome. A retiring collection will be taken, with all proceeds helping to fund music at the Cathedral.
