Slavery, Colston, and Bristol Cathedral

At the end of October and the beginning of November each year there have been a number of events taking place at Bristol Cathedral which are associated with Edward Colston. Colston's legacy and his association with transatlantic slavery have been debated more and more vigorously in recent years. The Dean and Chapter are deeply engaged in the debate and continue to reflect on the issues raised. Click here for their recent statement on the issue.
