Public worship suspended - but we are open for prayer
The Archbishops of Canterbury and York announced today that public worship will be suspended in our Cathedrals and churches, due to the Coronavirus outbreak. To read the Archbishops' message click here.
However, we are not 'shutting up shop' and the Cathedral will still be open for daily prayer. We have been live streaming worship and are planning for that to continue.
Regular events, tours, concerts and recitals have been cancelled, but we will be focussing on ways that we can support our Cathedral congregation, volunteers and visitors, and making sure we play our part in helping the local community.
Radically different worship
We will be using our website, social media and traditional letters to reach out to people during this season of Lent and Easter, and to help people walk through this time as a community.
We will post more about how we will be doing this in the next few days.
If you need someone to talk to we will be able to help. Please ring Reception on 0117 926 4879.
