Cathedral Closed to the Public

Following the Prime Minister's announcement on Monday 23 March, we regret to announce that the Cathedral is closed to the public until further notice.

We remain committed to providing prayer and worship through our online channels.

Our daily services are streamed live online, and we regularly share prayers and other messages of hope in this time on our social media feeds.

Please check our What's On pages for details of our regularly streamed services, and be sure to follow us on our social media channels.

May we who are merely inconvenienced
remember those whose lives are at stake.
May we who have no risk factors
remember the most vulnerable.
May we who have the luxury of working from home
remember those who must choose
between preserving their health or paying their rent.
May we who have the flexibility
to care for our children when their schools close
remember those who have no options.
May we have to cancel our trips
remember those who have no safe place to go.
May we who are losing money
in the tumult of the economic market
remember those who have none to lose.
May we who settle in for self-isolation at home
remember those who have no home.
As fear grips our country and our world
let us choose love.
During this time when we cannot physically
wrap our arms around each other
let us yet find ways to be the loving embrace
of God to our neighbours.
Through Jesus Christ our Lord.
