Social Justice

The Kingdom promises a future of Justice and Peace and the Cathedral must strive to describe and anticipate that future. Our focus for 2015-19 is on three areas of social justice and change: the Anti-Slavery Partnership, Food Poverty and the Green Agenda.

The Cathedral's Social Justice Group meets every other month to talk about active participation in social justice schemes across the city, including volunteering a Night Shelters across the city, making Christmas packages for prisoners and looking at ways of helping to welcome refugees to the city. The next meeting is Sunday 5 February, 2017 at 11.30am in the Old Library. The group is open to all, of any faith or none. Full 2017 Programme. For further information, please contact our Canon Theologian, Rev Martin Gainsborough.
